Heavy rains across Andhra Pradesh for 3 days under the influence of low pressure

Amaravati: The Meteorological Department has announced that there is a possibility of rains in Andhra Pradesh due to the effect of low pressure in the surrounding areas of Southwest Bay of Bengal. It said that due to the effect of northeast monsoon, the low pressure has extended to 7.6 km in the vicinity and the low pressure will strengthen in the next 48 hours. Officials said that there is a possibility that this low pressure will strengthen and move towards Puducherry and Karaikkal in Tamil Nadu and due to the impact of this low pressure, there will be heavy rains across Andhra Pradesh for the next three days. Winds of 65 km per hour are expected to blow in the south coast and fishermen have been warned not to go out to sea for hunting. In this background, the officials informed that heavy rains with thunder, lightning and lightning will occur in many places including Chittoor district and Tirupati.
