Andhra Pradesh Reports 605 Fresh COVID-19 Cases In Highest Single-Day Spike


Amaravati: The COVID-19 graph continued its steep incline in Andhra Pradesh with the state crossing the 11,000-mark on Friday. Andhra Pradesh reported 605 fresh coronavirus cases today, the single highest one day spike, while 10 deaths took the count of fatalities to 146 in the state, reported PTI. Kadapa district registered 133 new cases in the last 24 hours, the single largest spurt in any district. Kurnool and Krishna districts reported four fresh deaths each and Guntur and Visakhapatnam one each, according to the latest bulletin. In the last 24 hours, 191 coronavirus patients were also discharged from hospitals. The state’s 11,489 COVID-19 cases include 9,353 locals, 1,764 from other states and 372 foreign returnees. The state now has 6,145 active cases after 5,196 patients have been discharged so far.
