“Lata Mangeshkar Chowk” was established by CM Yogi

Amaravati: The Uttar Pradesh government has paid a grand tribute to Lata Mangeshkar, the background singer of the silver screen. On the occasion of Lata’s 93rd birth anniversary, the Yogi government established ‘Lata Mangeshkar Chowk’ in memory of Lata Mangeshkar. This intersection, built at a cost of Rs 7.9 crore, was inaugurated by CM Yogi Adityanath along with Union Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy on Wednesday. A veena weighing 14 tons, 40 feet long and 12 meters high has been installed at this intersection on the banks of Sarayu River. Ayodhya Development Authority Secretary Satyendra Singh said that this is the first time such a huge musical instrument has been set up in the country. CM Yogi Adityanath said that Lata Mangeshkar is the proud singer of the country and he is very proud to set up a chowk in her memory.
