Mumbai: A huge fire broke out in a building in Mumbai’s Bandar West area on Monday afternoon, forcing dozens of people to take shelter on the terrace. Around 100 people were feared trapped on the terrace of the building, which houses the state-run telecom company MTNL. At least 14 fire engines are at the spot to douse the level-four fire. A rescue operation was launched to evacuate the people. The fire officials were seen using cranes to reach people trapped on the upper storeys of the building. Fifteen people have been rescued so far. The fire is confined to the 3rd and 4th floor of the nine-storey building. It is not known yet what caused the fire.
